Why Am I Here?

  • 1. WHY WAS I BROUGHT INTO THIS WORLD?
  • Life’s grand purpose: وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنسَ إِلاّ لِيَعْبُدُونِ (And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.) [51:56]
  • To raise the level of character by instilling noble principles and positive values.
  • Placed on earth to lead - responsibly.
  • To be a motivator, etc.
  • Find an area to improve yourself.

  • 2. WHY IS MY LIFE IN THE STATE IT IS IN TODAY?
  • We are hiding too much behind a mask.
  • Have to love ourselves even if people around you can't accept you for who you are.
  • Doesn't mean you need to be perfect to love yourself.
  • Not everyone deserves to hear your problems or success.
  • Life is like a wheel, you'll have ups and downs.
  • You'll be at the top for long if you show appreciation.
  • When enjoying success (momentary and occasional), think “what did I do to deserve this?” (People rarely think about this to themselves).
  • But those experiencing setbacks and challenges, will be asking the same question with a tinge of anger and frustration.

  • 3. WHY AM I GIVEN THIS CHALLENGING LIFE? WHY AM I BEING TESTED WITH MY CURRENT PROBLEMS?
  • We have seen or know of others have been given a better and easier life (comparison to others).
  • You feel that you are handed an unfair disadvantages in the beginning of your life (negativity in childhood, parents, family).
  • Feel grateful and mean it when you say Alhamdulillah, etc. Not just lip service.
  • You were given this life because you were strong enough to handle it.

Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. “Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people.” [2:286]
  • Its like growing muscles: just that this is spiritually. More experiences to gain more strength for the future.
  • Is every problem and pain we’re having to endure now caused by our own actions? / “karma” in Islam?
  • What can we reflect on each time we’re surprised by a sudden hardship?
  • Deal with your problems now and hope it’s to wash off your sins and have a better journey in the hereafter.
  • Allah is molding us into a person we are supposed to be.
  • Yes, you just can't forget stuffs. All we can is seek forgiveness and forgive others.
  • We are all work in progress.

  • I AM HERE:
  • To worship God.
  • To protect his earth as His khalifah.
  • To raise the level of our akhlak.
  • To help, motivate, guide others who are in need.
  • to groomed for growth.
  • Because I am loved by my Creator.
  • To reflect on my actions thus far and look for ways to improve and avoid making the same mistakes.
  • Light is like hope. To continue to achieve something when we see the light. Keep looking for the light.
  • Strive and improve.

It’s gonna get harder before its gonna get better
